To not include Nellie Fox as at worst the backup second baseman is absurd. There also are some wonderful modern age pitchers such as Tommy John, Wilbur Wood and others and how about Paul Konerko and Harold Baines.

  2. I’m wondering what measure(s) you view Nellie Fox through?

The others you mentioned were all good Sox and could swap for others on this list without argument.

  3. The Chicago White Sox greatest team list isn’t as strong as most other teams that have been around since 1901. It seems the most successful ChiSox teams were made for small ball, platoons and superb pitching. Although the 1919 Black Sox were considered a great team, the 1920 team was one of the greatest teams ever. I suspect that MLB conspired to not allow them to win the pennant that year.

  4. I’m very happy to see one of my All-time favorite players Robin Ventura made the team of the greatest White Sox. Ventura was a tremendous 3rd Baseman. He had excellent range, a very good arm and he was extremely productive at the plate. Congratulations to #23 Robin Ventura
