Introduction

The Atlanta Braves are one of the oldest and most successful franchises in Major League Baseball history. Founded in 1876 as the Boston Red Stockings, the organization has also been known as the Boston Beaneaters, Boston Braves, Milwaukee Braves, and Atlanta Braves, making it the longest continuously operating franchise in professional baseball. Over nearly a century and a half, the Braves have built a rich tradition defined by Hall of Fame players, championship teams, and some of the greatest individual performances the sport has ever seen.

The franchise has called Atlanta home since 1966 after relocating from Milwaukee and has competed in both the National League East and National League West during its history. The Braves have captured multiple World Series titles and league pennants while producing legendary stars such as Hank Aaron, Warren Spahn, Chipper Jones, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, and Eddie Mathews. This hub brings together the franchise’s greatest players, historic seasons, statistical leaders, all-time rosters, and other resources celebrating one of baseball’s most accomplished organizations.
