About This Series
Every Major League franchise has featured hundreds of players over the course of its history. The All-Time Rosters series documents every player who has appeared in a game for each franchise, creating a complete historical record of the individuals who have worn each team’s uniform. From early franchise pioneers to modern-day contributors, these rosters provide a comprehensive view of each team’s player history.
Each All-Time Roster includes every player who recorded at least one appearance for the franchise, with years of service and primary positions identified for reference. The goal of this series is to serve as a reliable historical resource for exploring franchise history, tracing player careers, and understanding the full scope of each organization’s roster over time.
This page serves as the hub for the series, where readers can explore the complete All-Time Roster for every Major League franchise.
Teams
Methodology
Each All-Time Roster includes every player who appeared in at least one official Major League game for a franchise during its history. Players are listed with the years they appeared for the team and their primary position during their time with the franchise, with primary position determined by where the player appeared most frequently. Years of service reflect only the seasons in which the player recorded a game appearance for that specific franchise. Franchise continuity is maintained across relocations and name changes, meaning players are grouped according to franchise lineage rather than city name alone to create a complete and accurate historical record of every player who has worn each team’s uniform.
